MBB Policy and Advocacy
The Malta Business Bureau represents The Malta Chamber and the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association in Brussels and Malta. It does so by liaising directly with the EU institutions, the Maltese EU Permanent Representation, and Maltese Government Ministries. The MBB provides information to the Maltese business community regarding EU policy developments, while also gathering their feedback.
MBB policy advisors put forward the input gathered from companies to EU policymakers and legislators to ensure that the Maltese business interest is heard. This allows MBB to play an active role in the EU’s legislative process. The MBB also represents its parent organisation in pan-European associations (BusinessEurope, Eurochambres, and Hotrec) which bring together national business stakeholders from across the EU to present a united voice for European businesses on common challenges.

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) helps businesses innovate and grow on an international scale. It is the world’s largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions.
The Network is active worldwide. It brings together experts from member organisations that are renowned for their excellence in business support.

EU Projects
The policy background allows the MBB to take on projects that promote the priorities and objectives of the EU. For over a decade, the organisation has been active in successfully leading and participating in EU-funded projects, spanning various funding programmes including Erasmus+, LIFE, and COSME.
These projects have addressed key areas, namely sustainability, digital innovation, and skills training, across sectors such as tourism, manufacturing, and retail. In this regard, the organisation has vast experience in projects which bring together the EU vision and the interests of the Maltese business community at large.
